Dr. Yu brings decades of research and industry experience across immunology, vaccines, and cell & gene therapy. He earned his Ph.D. in Immunology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. After graduation, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of British Columbia, Mayo Clinic, and the University of Toronto.

In 2019, Dr. Yu transitioned into the biopharmaceutical industry and joined Pfizer, where he led and contributed to numerous high-impact research programs, including the Prevenar13 pneumococcal vaccine, meningitis projects, and other vaccine initiatives. His work earned him multiple awards for outstanding contributions.

Dr. Yu later joined WuXi Biologics in Pennsylvania, where he successfully established a new analytical laboratory. He led assay development and validation for a client’s vaccine programs, supporting their BLA submission. Most recently, Dr. Yu served as a Director in the Cell & Gene Therapy Program at the University of Pennsylvania under Professor James Wilson, a globally recognized pioneer in gene therapy. There, he oversaw multiple projects, expanded technical capabilities, and strengthened leadership in next-generation therapeutic platforms.

Dr. Wang brings extensive experience across academia, biotech, and the pharmaceutical industry. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where her doctoral work focused on hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. She identified key disease-causing mutations in high-risk families, helping to define the BRCA1/BRCA2 mutation spectrum in the Jewish population—research that has guided genetic testing and precision treatment strategies for hereditary cancers.

Her postdoctoral research at Mayo Clinic and the Toronto Western Research Institute continued to focus on cancer biology. She later became a research laboratory manager, gaining foundational experience in molecular and cell biology lab operations.

Dr. Wang’s industry roles span several leading organizations, including Gene ID, KellBenex, Pfizer, WuXi Biologics, and the Center for Breakthrough Medicines. She has contributed to and led projects in next-generation sequencing, prenatal diagnostics, vaccine research, analytical development, and cell & gene therapy manufacturing.
